We’re currently looking for a third flatmate to join our newly formed WG. The room is a spacious 24m², featuring two large windows that let in plenty of natural sunlight. The rent for the room is €362 per month, excluding electricity and WiFi. The additional costs for electricity, WiFi, and radio will be around €50. It’s unfurnished, but we’re happy to discuss the option of buying some furniture for a small price during the visit.

This is a newly formed WG. I’ll be moving in on May 1st, and Ashwini (our future flatmate) has been living here since 1st of April 2025.

I’m currently working on my master’s thesis and will soon be starting my PhD at OVGU. Ashwini, is in the third year of her PhD. We’re both from India and are friendly, easy-going people who enjoy a relaxed and peaceful living environment.

We’re looking for someone who shares a similar vibe and values a warm, welcoming atmosphere at home.

✔ Our apartment is in the heart of the city, right by Hasselbachplatz, with lots of great restaurants and pubs nearby.
✔ You'll have easy access to public transport, with tram and bus stops just a short walk away (Hasselbachplatz is only 5 minutes, and Plankstraße is just 4 minutes).
✔ It’s super convenient to get around the city – only 10 minutes to OVGU and 20 minutes to Uniklinikum by tram.
✔ There are plenty of shops nearby, including Edeka and stores offering Asian, Indian, African, and Eastern European products. Plus, you can reach Alle Center, Hauptbahnhof, and City Carré in just 10 minutes by walk.

The current tenant will be taking the washing machine and stove when they move out, so we’ll need to get a new one (or a second-hand one).

Also, the owner requires proof of income, so if you have payslips, that would be helpful.
